Updated: Jun 27, 2019

Instagram seems to be all the rage these days and everyone wants to grow their following. It can seem next to impossible to keep track of the newest algorithm changes or the newest, biggest trend there are a few life lines out there to help you achieve Instagram greatness.

As someone who manages other peoples social media profiles and my own business profiles I have tried a wide range of “helpful” apps and these are the four that I swear by.

WhenToPost

Part of the secret of Instagram is knowing when to post. This app overs a break down of the best three times to post to Instagram each day and it has a countdown so you know exactly when to post if you are posting manually.

They have a free and premium plans. The free plan is extremely helpful, but the premium plan takes it even further. Either plan you chose, this app will change the way you select your times to post.

Hootsuite

Most of us have heard of Hootsuite, but it really is a game changer. When you are out in the world living your busy life you don’t want to worry about making sauce you don’t miss the perfect time to post on Instagram Hootsuite is the app for you.

Hootsuite is all about scheduling and they have a free plan that is excellent for those who are managing their own social media. To make it even better, Hootsuite is on Facebook's approved apps list, so you do not have to worry about running into trouble down the line.

Canva

Once you establish what the perfect time is to post, and how you will post your content, it is now time to design what will be posted. Canva is the perfect tool for designing amazing graphics for social media.

They have preset sizes for just about anything you can think of. You can start with a blank template or use one of their hundreds of beautiful templates redesigned for you.

Their free plan will have everything you need to get started, but I love their premium features. Some of the most noteworthy is the ability to upload your own fonts, the ability to set your brand colors for easy access, and access to even more templates and graphics.

SmartHash

So, you’ve done your hashtag research but how sure are you that it is working?

SmartHash takes the guess work out of it. This app analyses the hashtags you are using in your Instagram posts and lets know know which ones are helping you grow and which ones aren’t. This way you can make sure you are using your 30 hashtags per post to the fullest.

Now you are well on your way to achieve your Instagram goals. Do you have any apps that you swear by for Instagram that I missed? Let me know in the comments below!
