How To Optimize Your Instagram Profile


Did you know that most people look at your Instagram profile for less than 10 seconds before they decide if they will follow you?

Your Instagram Handle needs to fit your account. I highly recommend you use the same usernames across all of your social media accounts, this will help create brand recognition. It is your first impression, so you want it to be something catchy, relevant and easy to remember.


Your Picture

Just like your handle, this will help set the tone of your account. Use something that is clear and that is instantly recognizable. Because it is such a small space, try to avoid overly cluttered photos. Small details will get lost in the photo.

With a business Instagram profile, there are so many things you can add to your page besides a link. You can add your phone number, a link to your shop, and directions to your location (if you have one). Try adding hashtags to your bio to attract more people!


Make sure you fill out as much of the information as you can. This will help you gain more leads and enquires.

The next thing to really think about is what you will be posting on your Instagram feed.


This is where your social media strategy comes into play. How often will you post? How will it be organized? What will it look like? What types of things will you post?


These are all things you will want to take into consideration when it comes to your content.


Remember, your content is arguably the most important thing about your Instagram page. This is what people will see and what attracts them to your page.
