How To Create Social Media Content Your Followers Will Actually Engage With

When I start working with a new client one of the first things I discuss with them is their social media goals. Almost every client wants to increase their engagement with their followers on social media.
The very first step to increasing engagement on your social media pages is to take a look at what content you are posting. Generally speaking, people are more likely to engage with certain types of content.
If you are like me and you are OBSESSED with Instagram, you may have noticed that over 2019 engagement went down significantly. Instagram changes their algorithm often and this time around they shifted the way our posts show up. Now Instagram favors posts (and shows them in your followers feed more often) that have higher engagement.
So you could have the prettiest photo out there, the perfect caption and the most perfect hashtags but if people are not interacting with your post it will not get very much traction.
Keep in mind, social media strategies are not a “one shoe fits all” thing. It may take some trial and error to figure out what kind of posts your audience responds to.
